Top 100!

I received some wonderful news today.  C&Y was included in a Top 100 Yoga and Meditation Blogs.  If you check it out, you'll see some other familiar names on there.  Very pleased for the recognition, thank you very much!

Oh! I also wanted to share a necklace that I made for my Etsy shop. I usually wouldn't do something like this on here but I have to make an exception..

In case you're curious, you can see more details about it here.

yay! congrats! i love what they said - that the blog is just as quirky as it sounds. one reason i love this blog is because it's admits, right in it's title, that both cupcakes and yoga can be used in the same sentence. it's rare that people who admit to loving one, admit to also indulging in the other.

Hello Beautiful Lady! Be careful! Although I want to say congratulations because I love your blog you should know that the award is actually a scam. Sales companies create "top lists" with the intention of getting you to post it on your blog with a direct link to a particular company. The company your award was given came from an X-Ray technician vocational school. They use the award as a way to get you to endorse their site and increase their traffic. If you do a search, you will discover that they have created 6 different top yoga blog sites.

It is an example of very creative sales techniques but it is misleading and wrong.

Thanks Pink Heels, I did notice the X-Ray thing but I thought they were trying to incorporate some "new age" teachings to their students ha ha! But I digress. :)

Life today is full of stress and strain, of tension and nervous irritability, of passion and hurry. If man puts into practice a few of the elementary principles of Yoga, he would be far better equipped to cope with his complex existence.Yoga brings in perfection, peace and lasting happiness. You can have calmness of mind at all times by the practice of Yoga. You can have restful sleep. You can have increased energy, vigour, vitality, longevity and a high standard of health. You can turn out efficient work within a short space of time. You can have success in every walk of life. Yoga will infuse in you new strength, confidence and self-reliance. The body and mind will be at your beck and call. Body is the temple of god. So it is our duty to keep it clean, fresh, and fragrant through developing compassion and love.Yoga gives you the capacity to face up to life's challenges. Similarly, when you respect your body, you tend to do things that will enhance its vitality. Many people who practice yoga become vegetarians and follow a macrobiotic diet. Apart from other exercise practicing yoga is more effective. It is not that we need to practice yoga daily try finding a once-a-week yoga class.
yoga therapy is highly recommended for people in competitive, stressful working environments, for those who suffer from headaches, back and shoulder aches, allergies, and asthma; and for anyone over the age of 40.
